remeber singers thing

Is there a way i can have hoster not remember people every night. after a week there are so many names in the base. I want it to only remember the ones I hit S+ for. Is this possible or am I not doing something right.

You can always go down thru the list of those with no songs for them and delete those names pretty quickly, that is what I do.

Hoster remembers any name you put in the singers block. The only way to get rid of them is like Bryant said.

But That feature i found to be unexpectedly handy. For example, when that singer sings again or even another one with that same name that you haven't stored songs for, that name will come up with a few letters, e.g., type "Mor" and Mortimer shows up right away. Only once in a while I delete names now, but then again, you never really see them, so they are harmless where they are.

Am i reading this wrong but all i do is go to search find the song put the first letter of the singers name if its in the singers list and find the singer or fully put the name in if they are new then press the add track instead of the s+ button it doesnt go into the database then.

I put my singers name then the venue so i dont confuse singers or if they have a nick name i use that

All names are added to the Singer's Database, but if you use the Add Track instead of the S+ then only the name is stored if it is new.

name list gets very long

I was hoping I could open a new hoster save is as Bar A on Mondays and it only remeber the names from bar A then when I close it and open Bar B in tuesday it remeber only Bar B names. I also relaized quickly I need last initials or nick names. Rich, Dan, Matt..etc are very popular names and occur more than once and I got 2 peoples list mixed into one before I realized it

Not a biggie Im not complaining I love that I have the feature at all.. just curious if I was maximizing its full potential

You could rename the Singers.mdb file to Bar A.mdb, then build a new one by opening Hoster and clicking on the Singers button. Fill it in with your Bar B people. Then rename it to Bar B.mdb.
That would give you two files to work with, but you would have to remember to rename which ever one you want to use back to singers.mdb before you open Hoster. Then after you finish the show and close down Hoster rename it back to which ever Bar. If you only have two then it shouldn't get too confusing. Just don't forget to do your renaming before and after or you will be using the wrong one.

Not really difficult. To rename the file just right click on it and go to Rename, then click in the box that comes up just before the period, Backspace out "singers and type in what you want to call it. Then when you want to use that one do the same thing and replace with"singers", and besure to do this before you open Hoster.
