THANKS!!
And yes you can put AOL on your MTU computer too. In fact that wouldn't be a bad idea as you will need to be able to keep up with Microsoft as well as MTU updates.

Unhappy

Hi,

well....I downloaded the hoster 4.6 files...made a copy to my disk and also have it on my desktop. I tried to load it....usually it would start to read something as soon as you put it in the drive...it didn't soooo, I went in to the run program and brought it up the hard way....
well....it won't work.

It says....

Setup.exe
Setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienience.

PLEASE TELL MICROSOFT ABOUT THIS PROBLEM...

just yet another setback I suppose.

It sounds like you may have deleted something of Windows that is causing this problem. It is Microsoft's Installer that seems not to be opening.
I would add this to your ticket and let MTU help you as they or someone may have to reload the computer from scratch.
I will let them know tomorrow morning that you need help desparately. I normally won't do this as they would rather we try to solve it through here if possible, but this is getting too deep into it and not going anywhere.
I don't think even a restore would be able to help with this.

I did that....and I 1st restored it to when Hoster wasn't on the computer...had to go back and undo it (lot's of help on message board about it) ...and then I restored it again ...there are certain dates it will allow you to restore....and I did what I could.

Michelle, I found out that Admin is on an extended holiday and won't be back in the office until Thursday, so I can't contact him yet.

that's fine....it's been sitting (lol) for a couple of months so a few more days won't hurt anything.

Thanks
