Wally,
Version 3.321a has been up for a while so I am sure that is the one he has, but 4.06 Demo you downloaded two weeks ago would have been the one that causes problems by installing in the same folder as the 3.321a.
The bucket is installed with each copy of Hoster installed. This Bucket had been exactly the same as the last up until the release of Version 4.00.
Because of the registration code mismatch that he has on his computer you will need to re-install version 3.321a in order to correct this. The bucket is the least of the problems right now and will also be fixed as soon as it is re-installed.
Until you can re-install it on his computer he will not be able to import disks and there is no way around that. So either they fix his connection or he brings it back to your house to connect up and re-install.

I'm just going to cross my fingers and see if he gets his ISP working. Sounds like this will be the best fix anyway. That way I can delete the Demo version too and be done with it. That is until 4.1 comes along and we both can upgrade. (Video Supported)

Thanks guys

Wally I realize you guys are both waiting for the ability to import videos into Hoster permanently, but since the current versions have exactly the capabilities you have now wouldn't it make since to go ahead and upgrade? That way you get familiar with and already have all the other new features set up and running? Version 4.10 is going to be another free upgrade for those who own a version 4.0x anyway so won't cost you extra to do so.

Yes, this I have considered, but right now is a bad time for me monetarily. My friend also just put out over $400 basically rebuilding computer so he is not the best shape right now either. Neither of us use systems for paying jobs much anymore. Just personal use and get togethers with family and friends. Right now, it's an expensive hobby. The features that I see in the current version are great for professional shows but otherwise not as desirable.

I use my system mostly, not for karaoke but background tracks as a singer/entertainer. When I do run a karaoke show, it's private party and all the bells and whistles are not so beneficial. He nor I have done any clubs in a several years.

But, if I get can see my way to go ahead and upgrade, I will. Maybe Santa can bring me my upgrade. I'll put it on my list, but you know how Santa likes to wrap things up with a bow and be a surprise on Christmas morning. Can this be done? Hmmmm

Later,
wally
