As others have said it does work with WMP11 (which is a bigger memory hog than Hoster) but only if you have sufficient memory on the system and on the video card. All of those added features and the additional ones to come were all asked for by users like you and me, so we have no one to blame but us.

My backup laptop exhibits a slight refresh, blinking, (the little hourglass comes up for a split second) whenever I place the cursor on a different song while another song is playing, it never used to do that. Have you or anyone noticed that with their machines, esp. laptops. This laptop has 1 gB memory with a 256 mB shared video card that has always played videos well both on virtual dj and hoster. I do keep virtual dj minimized.

I see the same thing on Test Machine#1. I'll check my show machine at tonights gig. Is it causing a problem for you? I can't make it cause a problem on mine. Jim ![]()

Oh, it's that 1.8 gZ duo processor. It actually works better on videos with virtual dj, than a much newer model of the same brand, and it does this with a lower model video card too. The newer Dell laptop I have has a NVidea 7300, which has been known to freeze up videos with VDJ.

I usually move that cursor around pretty fast and maybe I did "two things at once" in that split second where the hourglass was showing.

I used the 4.06 the other night. For the first time ever I had sync problems. Music stayed out in front the lyrics. Tried restarting and still made no difference. Used 3.40 rest of the night. 4.05 worked flawlessly. I do have windows media 11. I will try reverting back to 7. If that doesn't work I will go back to 4.05 and stay there awhile.
My laptop is a dell 1505 XP 2 gig ram and 128 video. Kelly |

I've been using WMP11 ever since I stared testing Hoster 4.XX with no problems. This seems to apply to computers with fewer resources. WMP11 is a resource hog but works fine when it gets what it needs.

Did you try using the old player (option)?. Try It and check again your audio and video synchronization.

Not sure what you mean by "old player option." I did roll back to WMP 10. Lyrics still out of sync. For the time being I went back to 4.05. Works perfect.

Go to Tools/Options and at the bottom of the box there is a button to switch between the "Old" player and the "New" player with a description of the differences.

I understand the need to add features and to innovate. What I *don't* understand is why MTU *removed* an option (the audio offset feature) that would have alleviated this problem for me.

It was removed because it does not work with the new player they wrote, so it wouldn't have helped you anyway.

If you look at the post date, you will see that this is over a month old. To my knowledge that was the first post about lyrics sync with 4.06. We have since had others who have had this problem. Most have been centered around video card issues. The others have been background programs running. I will go now to your post about lyrics sync to review it and see if I have any suggestions or ideas.

It's definitely NOT a graphics card problem. I bought a brand new ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512 Mb of DDR3 RAM and I'm still having the same problem. The box is significantly better than minimum specs. It's Athlon 64 3400+ at 2.39 GHz and has 1 Gb, running XP MCE SP3. This problem is very annoying and disruptive. I'm at my wits' end.

Part of your problem could be Windows hitting the swap file too often. I would recommend at least 2 Gb of memory, 3 if you can swing it. Also, how much free space on your C: drive? I would recommend keeping 50% free. Without knowing your particular setup this would be my first place to start. The next would be background programs, then services.
