Those are a couple of good points to check. For Vista users make sure you don't have any internet connections running, run Vista in Classic mode and also make sure Vista's Sidebar is turned off. These are all memory hogs and will cause problems.

Problems with Hoster 4.0-4-?

I do a one man band show three - four nights a week on avg. I have used Hoster for 5-6 years, never had a problem that wasn't self-created. I have kept up with all Hoster upgrades and computer upgrades. I have purchased each upgrade without worry until now. Unlike a karaoke show, i cannot keep stopping and re-starting over and over. I don't need all the bells and whistles. I asked for and recieved a refund on Hoster 4.0, went back to old faithful 3.21. I still believe in Hoster and MTU, have faith they will get the product right. Until then, i have to do my show without problems, and Hoster has done that for me for years before, and I believe for years to come, God willing.
To All having problems at this time, no one is suffering more than Dave Cox and his MTU staff at this time. So keep the faith, believe. They WILL get you the product you have come to expect from MTU.

I also have Hp laptop with Vista, I too have the same problem, Song start fine then start to slow down the audio and video (like doing slow motion on audio and video with stuttering irratating sound) on Hoster 4.05, I'm glad it just my test machine.

My show computer (desktop with Xp ) still has the Hoster 3.15 and up to now works great. Even I opened 5 Hoster playlists, 2 access windows and winamp for my effects
My back-up computer is desktop with Xp and 4.05 and 3.4. This I also use for testing new hoster upgrades and for my personnal practice. Which works ok but haven't subjected to actual show. Occasionally 4.05 have issues on Video Songs (mpeg) on practice , 3.4 sems to be fine.

Also Have my old Sony Viao laptop with Xp home edition and hoster 3.21 as portable back up machine.

There someone around that says that I am the only one facing this problems

Glad to hear that I am not alone. I will stick with MTU till the end so I won't ask for a refund. What I am trying to do is to inform MTU about the software issues so they have some feedback

If you are having these problems with 3.4 then you are the only one.

3.4 is 3.321, just with a different number. If you have problems with 3.4 there's 99.9% chance you will with 3.321 as well.

No, I'm not having troubles with 3.4 but the way it behaves, no way it is the exact 3.21 version.

The only change they made to 3.4 was to allow it to work under the 4.0 registration code. What works differently?

I try not to run WMP nor do I have any other unnecessary applications running.
That was actually my next question for Dale but you may have answered, I am only running 2gb of ram and I know Vista is a memory hog. So maybe I better add a couple GB

When I search song [in version 3.40] it takes a little longer to load them to the playlist. That is what makes me think that there are some small changes.

I just use the forum to tell MTU what is happening.

The fact is that Hoster 4.0 apparently works for all VIPs and beta testers... for all the common people is not working properly. The guilty ones are the computers, video cards, vista, upgrades not done, the users, but not the software, something is seriously wrong with Vista and Hoster we' all know that but then, how come I don't have problems with other programs that I use? and yeah maybe I am the .1%.

What else can you do if Hoster is on your computer. It seems that you have to turn off everything...just thinking out loud. So there is no way that use some other softwares with Hoster. then, How come I can use other softwares at the same time at the computes does not tell me "...has stopped responding" It only happens with Hoster 4.
