separate download upgrades

just thinking about everybody's problem running hoster, there's gotta be something in vista and xp to make hoster not to run right, just thinking would it be better to have separate downloads for vista and xp just like some other programs /softwares...? this might create more work for mtu, but i think in the long run it might create less problems, headaches and complaints..

Billy,

Great Idea However this would involve new code and the in the end could be more costly for MTU, which in retrospect could mean higher prices for us, are you willing to pay more? I believe that MTU has our best interest at heart and they would rather put out ONE GREAT PRODUCT THAT IS COMPATABLE WITH ALL WINDOWS VERSIONS AT A LOWER COST TO Thier customers than to make it so costly that only a select few could afford it. HOSTER IS THE TOP OF THE LINE WE ALL MUST BE PATIENT AND WAIT FOR ALL THE LITTLE THINGS TO be fixed after all ROME WASN"T BUILT IN A DAY.

i agree 100% that mtu is the best out there, i am probably one of the few people that never had a problem with the upgrades, haven't experienced all of the problems people are having even with prior versions..what i'm saying was it's probably easier to have diff. upgrades for diff. os..instead of having one program to work with 2 diff. os..everybody is paying the same prices on upgrades anyway,..i know that these might create more work for mtu, but like i said it might be cost effective in the long run, less headaches, less complaints and less stress for mtu and hoster users..just trying to find a solution to make everyone happy with hoster..just my opinion

That was looked at by them and rejected. There are many items that are the same in both operating systems and very few that are Vista exclusive.

I was not talking about customers. I was talking about program code parts.
