Did you make sure you did ALL the required updates before upgrading to 4.04. I put it on my 6-year old HP-XP laptop with only 512 RAM and it works fine. It's Vista that's causing the most grief.

Thanks SkyBryd,

If you look above you'll see it's a bug in 4.04 that they will fix in 4.05. My Dell Laptop seems to be fine.

I think we all need to start accepting Vista since that is what the future is.
I own four companies ranging from DJ's, KJ's, VDJ's, Live entertainment from Petting Zoo's to Headliner Entertainers, Stage Lighting, Sound Systems as well as a Recording Studio.

I find that Vista seems to be prefered OS by the majority of my employees. We have 117 employees.

If I may ask, what are the names of your companies? Where are they located? It sounds like you have built quite a business.

Thanks

Jim

Just wondering if you got Hoster to work on your Vista? After reading all the posts, I decided to upgrade my Vista from 3.321 to 4.03 and it works GREAT. 4.04 works on my old XP, but is causing problems for just about everyone on Vista.

Hi Skybyrd

We have 23 Laptops and 1 Desktop. They are all Vista. My personal Desktop will only run up to version 4.02. The rest of the units are running 4.04. A few of them are having various problems such as lyrics out sync.

You can use the 34 exec if you have the 4 series installed which works like the 3.321

Lyrics are in-sync with 4.03 on Vista even while adding a singer's disk. Most everyone is having problems with 4.04 on Vista, but not 4.03. Only complaints I've read about 4.03 is key change problems (works on mine) and of course no MUX on videos. Both problems are handled by using 3.4 when needed. From what I have read & tried myself, 4.03 on Vista will cause you the least amount of problems. 4.05 should correct this.

Yes you can, that's what it's for. Hoster 4.X and 3.40 will run side by side. Open Hoster 4 first then open 3.40, this wll assure that 3.40 copies your present Hoster 4 songlist. When you use one, minimize that other.

I hope this helps.

Jim
