hoster show sound advice
Hello all i am requesting advice on sound for my future shows.
my setup is as follows hoster4.03 hp pavillion dv-6804 notebook soundblaster live external usb sound card windows vista home premium vocopro da 3900k mixer/amp i am looking to add better sound quality to any future shows i am concerding getting a Behringer XENYX 1832FX Mixer /usb interface now to the meat of my question is this a better way to go or would i be better off just trying to get better sound from the voco pro mixer/amp or would there be a better mixer for this purpose or should i also buy a seperate amp to run this mixer setup i'm on limited income due to accident at home that broke my ankle in 2 places will be out of work doc says for another 5 months min.any advice would be a help also want to record my 11 year old daughter for our own self she has won several karaoke contest recorded at big mama recording studio 2 cd's the recording would be to help her and not for sale as want to be legal any advice on recording/editing software for this purpose would be a help like cakewalk sony acid music thanks raymond |

i just checked i do have windows vista media center does this mean i can not record useing a mixer and recording software such as cakewalk or sony acid i have used Audacity software with good results when recording thru mic in line

you might wanna check what software youre buying first, i know that there's only a few recording/editing software or dj doftware that will work with media center, the only one that worked with mine was pcdj and mixmeister, and i know that some of the products that wont work was all Lexicon, all m-audio, yamaha usb mixing board and some i couldnt think of right now, (i know there's a lot of them..)but like i said check the product first, before buying. try going to m-audio web site and they have a link and also list of products that wont work with media center.. |

All I run are Behringer mixers....none sound like tin cans and have absolutely no probs with them. Mackie's are nice but Behringer is just as nice for half the money. Just my two cents.
