hmm yes i have IE7. Not sure about SP3 will look tonight. But Media Player11(which is what I have) I don't think recognizes it as version 11 and I've been unable to until stall media player altogether and do a fresh install so I utilize divx and some others to ensure that I can play all types of files. But I'll try the SP3. Thanks.

used hoster 4.01 for the first time last night at our show and played the first song OK but when we called the 2nd singer up the screen froze, took about 3 minutes b4 I could even close the program and had to revert to using our old hoster lite version. Any suggestions on why it freezes after playing songs. Also will not play MP3G?

Make a shortcut to:

c:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Hoster34.exe

and put it on your desktop. If Hoster 4 gives you problems just click on the shortcut, open 3.40 and keep on trucking.

Be sure your videos (.wmv anyway) are not DRM protected. If you bought them from some web site, they probably are. We don't support DRM yet... Vista woes have taken all our development time to solve.

We found a major bug related to CUE status. This is when we are opening files to get them ready to play. We are finishing the fix today (Lord willing) for Beta 8 to go out tonight to our testers. God bless em' for all the investment they have done with us. Dale and MadJim are two of the most active!

Bug in CUE code.

We HOPE to release 4.02 on Wednesday... if we get it out today for testing. We have found some BIG bugs that were causing what you all are reporting. Our beta testers are now running shows with 4.02 Beta 7 and most of the problems are gone. We got the lyrics-music and the Preview Display + Show Display to all get in sync. Vista has been a nightmare!!!!!!!

Word to the wise... If you have XP, DON'T EVER CONSIDER CHANGING TO VISTA! It is now rumored that Windows 7.0 will replace Vista in a few years. Let's see, it'll take Microsoft another few years to get Vista working for all programs. So just about that time, they'll pull the carpet out from under us again with 7.0.... Keep your XP healthy and installed...

1. Install ZoneAlarm as a firewall to block keyloggers, trojan horses, and other nefarious hacker tools.

2. Buy a good AntiVirus program.

3. DO NOT USE free internet email companies (Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, Freeserve, etc.) for your email.

I'm not pushing Google, but their gmail has the best virus and other nasties and spam-blockers available. Our webmaster has converted to gmail (and keeping his older email) and almost all the spam hitting his decades-old email is NOW gone. We're about to convert also.
