I purchased 4.0 upgrade and it installed fine on my home computer but on my show computer a message keeps poping up "not enough memory, shut down 1 or 2 programs that are running

How much memory do you have?
What operating system?
What else do you have on the computer?
What does Task Manager show about your memory usage and processes running?

What operating system? (Vista or XP)
Next question is have you done all of the custom updates from Microsoft?
Do you have IE7 or IE6?

I used to get that coupled with the "unknown 1004" error. Installing IE7 fixed it as it did for several others on here, although there are a few that it didn't fix

So how do you install Hoster without attaching the computer to the internet since that is the only way to install it since at least 3.310? Even upgrading instead of removing andinstalling still requires it to register on line.
If you do not keep up with the Microsoft Updates do not expect MTU programs to work correctly as they use many items from Microsoft and are kept up with the current versions.
