I have two Toshiba laptops and both are very loud when turned up. I just use the headphone jack on the front and run to my mixer. Please do not take this the wrong way, but have you checked all your sound properties to make sure the levels are turned up? Just a thought. Like I said I have to turn the level down on my mixer or run people out of the lodge.

Your post make 3 people that have suggested checking their soundcard levels but to date they've not responded so apparently all is well in that department.

Sometimes it takes a 4th suggestion before things are taken seriously. Toshiba laptops have very high sound levels. I just find it odd that their's does not. Maybe it is a bad internal sound card or perhaps the sound properties have not ALL been checked....
