I also noticed that it did not download the lyrics. Could it be my driver isnt reading correctly?

Did you have Hoster before? Did it work before? If not, i'd have to say it's your cd drive. I had one that just wasn't compatible - even after updating all drivers & software - that gave bad distorted sound & nothing but garbled graphics - none readable. I found a cheap clearance dvd drive for $20 at WalMart (LiteOn) & everything worked beautifully after that. Your cd/dvd drive may not be compatible.

Like I said most likely it's your cd/dvd drive that is not able to read the karaoke subcode on the cdg which is why you are getting distorted audio & no (or bad) graphics). You may need to replace it. Like I said WalMart has a LiteOn dvd drive that is compatible, costs under $40. Once you get a compatible drive, Hoster will be all you need to import the music to the hard drive.

just like Lonman said, see if your cd/dvd drive is capable of reading cdg, open hoster, go to tools and click on default drive, it should say yes/show, if not you have to get an external cd/dvd drive, to import a kma file, open hoster, put your cdg on the drive and click local data base, that should show the name of artist and song titles and check the ones you want to import ,all select all, then click on import selected track..

That won't necessarily work, the drive I had showed capable in the search, but was most definitely not.
External drive is not necessary, unless she has no computer knowledge to swap out the internal - which isn't really hard these days. Internals are alot cheaper than externals as a rule.

Have you tried playing a track directly from a disc? I see no mention of it.
