There is a bug in 3.317 concerning ZIP files, which has been addressed in 4.000 that isn't released yet.
I don't think anyone has had this exact problem, but it could be part of the problem. One thing you can check is to make sure the extensions (MP3 and CDG) on the files in the zips are the same case. If they aren't they will not import. Your example does show the track number in the name as in this case, Sc8281-11 - Artist - Title.zip 11 would be the track number. Be sure you choose the right settings for importing and pay special attention to the separators. If all else fails I would go back to 3.316 and wait for the 4.000 release.

Importing zip files with Vista problem (continued)
Hello. I went to 3.317 only because it will allow importing of max compression songs.
In regards to the seperators, if they were not set correctly, then the songs would not move from the "File List Window" to the "Track List Window". The "11" on my example is referencing the track number on that CDG and I would not think it would be used in the TRK column. Again, I think Hoster would assign the track numbers in the column. Regarding this, I chose the field order of "DiscID-Track - Artist - Title" to import some test songs. The import went perfect, however the track number was the number of the Sound Choice track. So, in order to import, I would have to re-number the zipped songs. I just know that I did not have this issue with 3.316 and I done alot of zip imports. Thanks for your guidance and if you or anyone else have suggestions, shoot away!

Then you need to customize the format to change Track to Ignore and add you own.
Since these are zip files there is no header within the file to extract the information from. Also importing from Hard Drive in ZIP format does not go to the database to verify or add information. The only addition Hoster makes to this type of file is to assign the BookID not the track number.

zip importing using Vista Ultimate
To make the zip import correctly, I had to add a track portion to the header. Again, I did not have to do this with 3.316. I am going to use this method to import the zips and will end this discussion unless others have additional comments. Thanks.

I can confirm zzeliminators problem although it's not a vista thing.
With 3.316, using a standard named HD track, if you tell Hoster to ignore the track info, Hoster will give it the next available track number. Exact same setup in 3.317, Hoster will give the error message he reported in his original post. Oddly after clicking "no" to seeking help in the message, Hoster appeared to finish the import without a track number and logged it in the imported files log, however the song was nowhere to be found in the database ![]() Something to look into. mindonstrike is correct
The way Mindonstrike explain it is exactly the issue that I am having. I also looked for the song which appear like it was imported but I could not find it. I know Vista Ultimate is new working with Hoster and Ultimate 64-bit probably a little rare but will become more popular. Thanks.

I named the file SF-11 - Ball & Chain - Artist.zip (I couldn't remember the artist name). The resulting kma had a file name of SF-.kma . I manually added it to the database, it then showed up and played just fine. It played in MS as well. I forgot to see if it had any header info attached but if anyones interested I'll check it.
