With Microstudio you could import them as bin files and then import those into Hoster.

Dale.
The only difference i see in this disc is it is green and my other CBs are silver media.
and other CBs with 15 songs are burned to within 1/8 of disc edge.
this one has about 3/8 from disc edge??.
maybe compressed a little more. Bob

Bob, when open the disc in Windows Explorer, do you see all of the track files or just one file? A lot of audio CDs now will show you just one (index?) file but are readable by the audio programs and equipment to "extract" the right track.

Installed Microstudio tonight and was able to see all of the tracks on the CD and import them as bin, then import the tracks into Hoster.

Thanks for all the help. I would still like to know why Hoster can't import this CD.

So would the rest of us! The only thing I can figure is because of the upgrades to the code in Microstudio it is able to read this disc where Hoster hasn't had the same upgrade done yet.

Bob,

Do I take it from this that my MTU USB certified burner/drive is a NEC?

Kenny, please send MTU your FIRST CB disc so we can diagnose what is going on. Address:

MTU
8390 Six Forks Road
Suite 101
Raleigh, NC 27615

We'll return it within a week. We need to see what is happening at an engineering level to discern this. Since Bob says he can import it with other drives than his NEC, and you (or someone) said the disc dye color is green, it makes us wonder if the NEC laser isn't detuned for other than green dye?

When you send it, please include this Thread ID on a slip of paper so we know what to look for:

The exact same code is now in Microstudio and Hoster. The reading code is Identical, as far as I am aware.

Our drives are the Sony/Nec Optiarc drives, so this being said, I would not understand why they would not read a disc, but others would. I will try to see if there is an updated Firmware for these drives somewhere.

Hey Admin!
I sent the disk to you on 7/24/07, it is now 8/20/07 and I have not received the disk back. I’m not trying to rush you as I want you to figure out what the problem is. I’m just checking to see if you have figured out anything?

7/24/07. According to your post it would be returned within one week. It is now Kenny
