I'd be tempted to think that the database would rebuild in normal fashion now. Have you tried it since merging?

Yes, I've tried but still no go. Still get "Paramaters are incorrect."

I suspect you're going to need to go to the Hoster Manual and read the section that deals with editing the KMA song parameters. Depending on the severity of the situation, songs can be edited singly, or in batches.
I'm sorry, but after all this time, I just don't remember if the database won't rebuild if the parameters are off on a song or two, or if it takes the whole lot to cause this error message. It may be answered in the manual. Either way, I'd hazard a guess that's the route you're going to have to go to get it working properly. Last edited by George; June 2nd, 2007 at 10:18 PM. |

Okay . . . I'll do that. Meantime, it's comforting just to know that I have a workable program again. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I believe I'd try the EDIT SONGS, then SELECT MULTIPLE, put a DISC I.D in the SEARCH FOR block, check DISC ID, then SEARCH.
That should pull up all the tracks on a given disc, and enable you to view the parameters for each song, and hopefully find the bad guys one disc at a time to keep you from going goony. If I'm out in left field here, I sure won't mind being corrected, as it's been so long since I messed with Hoster in Beta, I am for sure winging it. |

Wow . . . that would be a loooong process: one disc at a time. I did go through the process, however, but (dumb me), I'm not sure just what I'm looking for when it comes to finding errant song parameters. The discs I've looked at sure look good to me. Would any wrong parameters jump up at me or would I have to look for something evil lurking therein?

Been waiting along with you for someone who uses this program to answer your question, but that doesn't seem to be happening, so for want of something better, here's what I'd do.
When in the edit songs section I'd look for any disk I.D.'s that are out of whack on any track in the disc.. Make a note of any bad ones, if any, then delete them and re-import them. I believe I'd try a database re-build after any such changes to hopefully have nailed the culprit without having to go through them all. Once again, sure don't mind someone jumping in here with a better solution, or adding to this one. Jumped back in here to see if it wouldn't be possible to open the folder where your KMA's are and spot a disc ID that's not right, since they are grouped together sequentially by manufacturer's disc number...
