I Bought S video cable went straight to the Rf mod, no luck. It's like there is no signal from the TV, when I click extend my desk top to this monitor and hit apply the check mark disapears as if there is no TV there. Invision trying to run your normal set up with out having the TV turned on, the PC just doesn't get a signal.

I am getting confused. Could you list what combinations you have tried?

1)I have gone from the RCA video out directly to the input video on the TV.
2)I have gone from the RCA video out to the RF mod and out to the TV Ch 3
3)From the S Video out to the RF mod and out to both Video and RF inputs on the TV

I have tried every combination I can think of.

Its like I need to boost the signal of the TV to let the PC know its there

When you have it all on (including the check for Extended) and set up try right clicking on the #2 monitor and "Activate" it. Have had this happen to me a couple of times.
As long as it has "Extended desktop capability then you shouldn't need the RF mod.

this is just a suggestion...if you have a vga out try connecting another monitor and set your laptop to dual display, see if it works, if not, maybe you need to get an adaptor..i used to used maxview pc to tv converter..and it does the job..

The adapter thing is usually only required if you are taking the video directly out of that 9 pin (or whatever it is) vga port.

my old laptop dell inspiron 1000 didnt have an s-video/rca out, in order for me to have a dual display, i had to get the maxview pc to tv converter, im not sure ( i'm not a compter wiz..) if having a converter is taking the video out of the vga..but thats the only way i could have the dual display.

It might be cheeper to add a $50.00 video card to the computer. Use the built in for the primary display, and the new one for the s-video display as the extended desktop.

That may not work for this one....case looks awfully small and may not have slots available.
