Very true. I think all of mine (only about 8 dvd's) were all x81.
Should also check the volume level. On the one hand if it's set to high you'll get distortion at worst, and at best an extremely loud surprise if you forget to pull the slider down after the last song. On the other hand if it's to low you'll struggle with getting an adequate amount of volume from the track come performance time. Sam
