External Hard Drive

My laptop hard drive is full. I purchased an external hard drive. I can't figure out how to add the additional songs to the new external hard drive, so Hoster can find it.

Thanks

I would move (copy to external drive then delete from internal drive) all of the KMA files to a folder on the external drive. You will have all kinds of problems if your C: drive is full.
Then open Hoster and rebuild the database. Don't forget to remove the old folder and add the new folder in the window in upper part of rebuild screen.
Also you need to open the Import from CD screen and change the folder path to the new folder on the external drive then exit from Import. That way next time you import it will go to the correct place.

oops

I guess I said the wrong thing. I have the songs on a new external hard drive. How do I tell Hoster to look there for the songs. I would like to get rid of the .KMA files in the computer's hard drive and use the external HD exclusively.

Thanks

Rebuild the songs database and select your external hard drive when you rebuild.

Also be sure to change the "save to folder" location on the import screen for your future imports.

Also be consistant about the order things are plugged in and turned on so that the drive letter is always the same.

Always Double-Check.

I always double-check, either by checking "my computer" or that little green icon in the task bar
for the location of drives and where they are supposed to be.
