Well, if you are one of these high-powered DJ's who need 10.000 watts and a clear strong sound, there is a USB sound card called a maya-44 and a ubdj46. Might be a lil off on the exact names. But they are for the pro's and cost about 200 bucks. You will like 'em.

I think it's all in the speakers and the mixer. I have 2 systems. One has a 2,000 watt and one is a 300 watt amp. I can't tell much of a sound differance between the two. I am running the same kind of speakers and mixer on both systems.

USB Sound Cards
You may want to give these some consideration. I use the amigo and the micro, improves the sound output of laptop or desktop and not expensive.

i'm not sure if that was the problem..i have 3 mackie mixing boards cfx 12 dfx 12 and dfx 6 and a mackie powered speakers and i used to use my external soundcard (a soundlblaster extagy )..on all of them still had the same problem, humming and hizzing..when i unhooked the ext. soundcard and used the headphone out directly to my board the hizzing and humming disappeared..

I must admit for around £65 you can't beat the ESI46DJ. Simple to use and even easier to install. I've used one for around 18 months now and the quality of sound is a great improvement to my Dell internal card. ![]() |
