CTRL-X disabled during video play in 3.303

This may no longer be relevent as I haven't run the latest release yet.

Last night I had several VCD tracks to play and noticed that I could not delete other tracks from the songlist while a VCD was playing.

Also I followed the instructions to get the video window on to my second monitor, but the window remained unsizable. It was about half size only.

You've never been able to delete a file while a video is playing (or enter a file from the keyboard for that matter) and still can't, but 3.310 now has a delete button that will work during the play of a video.

Which directions were you following? If you can stretch it at all you should be able to completely fill the screen (99.9% at least)

I can't change the size at all, it remains fixed. The window itself is not a sizable type, it is a fixed dialog type.

However as I'll be upgrading to the new version soon it probably doesn't matter.

Hoster 3.3 - 3.310 use the exact same procedure. If you still have problems post back and we'll see if we can't get it figured out.

Read the manual on the Video Display. It assumes the identical persistence settings of the Singers Display. Thus, you resize the Video Display by resizing the Singers Display.

Resizing video for singer display

I read the manual & tried to follow the instructions. The window will resize but it won't move over to the other screen. What am I doing wrong? I didn't have any problem setting it up to view .kma files on the Singer Display.

You must must must do this while playing a KMA

Resize and move it while playing a KMA (anything except a video). Once it is resized and moved double click to make it full screen.

From here on out your KMA's will be full screen while your videos will be the resized screen

KMA's appear on 2nd display, but not video

Thanks, but I have no problem viewing my kma's on the second display. This has worked fine for months. Only now that I wish to view a video do I get a second display on my laptop that cannot be changed. When I stop the video from playing & add a kma I have no problems & it automatically appears on the Singer's display.

OOPS I forgot to mention that you need to double click the TV screen while the KMA is playing so it will come back to your computer monitor, and then follow the above procedure.

still a little confused

Mindon, so are you saying: just double-click to get it back to the desk top & then double-click again and this will reset itself if I restart Hoster? Once the Singers display is back on the laptop, what do I do next to get it to view a video file on the Singer's Display? I'm not able to try it out until tomorrow! Sorry I'm being so dense on this one!

Skybird,
I think this is probably the best explanation. Mindonstrike posted this for another user in a similar thread.

Play a KMA file (using a video won't work for this part) and move your mouse to the TV and double click to bring the screen back to your computer.
Once it is playing on your computer grab the corners and stretch it to as full of a screen as you can get. Now grab it with your mouse and slide it back to the TV. Make any last minute stretching once it is there. Now double click the screen again, which will make your resized screen full screen.

Now when you play KMA's it will be full screen and when you play video's they will be on the resized screen.

We understand that your KMAs play fine, but in order to get the videos to play correctly you have to use the KMA screen to set the screen correctly for the videos.

Ya' hit the nail on the head.
