James I don't understand what you mean by getting to "chemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />" Are you trying to import from a CD under the "Import Tracks/ Import CD Tracks? You should then be selecting Band Name and DiskID.

Or if you are trying to import from a hard drive file then the file name has to be set according to the information on the opening screen for Importing from Hard drive. If the name format is wrong then it will not import.

If this isn't what you need then I do not understand what you are telling us.

James, please clarify the following:

1. "I can run a complete show as long with hoster" - What does this mean?

2. "cant download a cdg to the hard drive"
Does this mean you can't download from the internet?
Does this mean you can't import a CDG track into Hoster as a .kma file?

corrections

Thanks for the reply Gary

1. "I can run a complete Karaoke show with hoster" temporary import singers cdg's etc.

2. "can't import a cdg to the hard drive as KMA files" application not responding
befor hoster can import the song titles from its database.

It sounds as if something is messed up with the system communicating with the drive. Can you put a CD, any type, into the drive and read it or play it under Windows Media Player? If not, then I would start looking at the OS.

James, this is just a check list. You have probably done them all.

1. Make sure you have the latest XP updates.
2. Ensure the CD ROM drivers are up to date.
3. Use a certified Plextor CD ROM drive.
4. Was the import function ever working?
You might use an earlier "Restore Point" when the drive was working.
5. Re-install Hoster.
