yes that is what i thought was happing

hoster will see the first bookid and not show you the other(as far as the search box goes)
you can delete the ones that dont show and reimport them using a new book id
you can open the songs mdb and look for the dupe bookid write down the disc numbers and go delete the disc off your hard drives

bryan i had two other hoster users say that the merg was not working this makes 3

I had some time so i went in and ramdomly searched some of the higher book id#'s. 1075 thourgh 1081 are there, 878 is there 894 is there. there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to which ones are not there when i use the search box and check by book id#'s.

bryan admin mtu support

you need to take a good look at vern mcbride songs mdb
it looks like after he ran the merg command it shift the data
take a look at his mdb you will see what i mean

also when you added the fields to the new header did you take into account
the the old kma had less fields then the new ones
and could this be what happin to his songs mdb when he ran the merge command it had less fields to work with or more fields to work with

Search not finding all songs

I have sent both songs.mdb to MTU .

I cannot open the songs.mdb because i do not have "access" my computer came with excel.

Also I went to reimport a chartbuter and it did show that it was already imported (ie cb60350 was disc#1093 in the laptop and that is the same as when i go down the book id# on the top portion of the hoster program. The songs are in the program and hoster does recognize them. If I go to cb60351-9 it will come up with Down in Mississippi and play properly it is just not finding the song with the search function. if there is anything else you need to know let me know and i will try to answer.
I will have to leave shortly to run a long show tonight. will check email first thing in morning.
