What kinda of disks are you trying to import? brand, and id number? I have never had a problem except with old soundchoice, and some chartbusters

Many users over the years have reported that making a copy of bad master discs with Microstudio using good quality media such as MTU sells, can significantly speed up the disc importing into Hoster. It's worth a try...

yes this does work in most case's
if you have a cd that is real solw to import into hoster make a back up copy and it will copy as it should most of the time when you try to read the cdg in hoster and it takes a long time just to get half way through take it out and make a back up use the back up to use in hoster |

Bryant,
I recently bought the chartbuster essentials 5. I imported a few of them, and checked the tracks. The tracks had white speckles in them. I copied the same disks, and imported them, they were letter perfect. No one can gaurantee that every disk will import better from a copy, but in the case of chartbuster, for the most part, it is so. |

Making a copy with quality MTU media will often solve the first problem, as indicated here. MTU has done extensive testing to insure our media is the best for CDG format discs. If you use "any old media", you may not get better results, and that has also been proven by users who tried both, ending up using MTU from then on. In our testing for "snowflakes" on imported songs, we found each is a 2-byte or 3-byte error with Chartbuster. Our error detection/correction software is the best of all CDG import programs we tested, but it won't handle 2 and 3-byte errors. It finds and repairs 1-byte errors. Chartbuster is so bad that we believe they INTENTIONALLY insert these 2 and 3 byte errors. We have no other explanation how a "professionally" mastered CDG disc can end up with so many errors. Other Producers don't exhibit this. ![]() |
