In Hoster, the Brand and DiscID for Sunfly 001 is:
Brand=Sunfly DiscID=SF001 In order for Hoster to add Sunfly 001 correctly, your files would need to be named: SF001-01 - Abdul, Paula - Straight Up SF001-02 - Michael, George - Faith SF001-03 - Idol, Billy - White Wedding SF001-04 - Waite, John - Missing You SF001-05 - Wilde, Kim - Keep Me Hanging On SF001-06 - O'Connor, Sinead - Nothing Compares 2 U SF001-07 - Stansfield, Lisa - Change SF001-08 - Seal - Crazy SF001-09 - 10CC - I'm Not In Love SF001-10 - Simple Minds - Alive & Kicking SF001-11 - Eurythmics, The - Thorn In My Side SF001-12 - Young, Paul - Senza Una Donna SF001-13 - Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax SF001-14 - Adams, Bryan - Everything I Do, I Do It For You SF001-15 - Blondie - Heart Of Glass It doesn't matter if you have the ARTIST listed before the TITLE, but, you absolutely need SF001-xx. If the files are NOT named this way, you can't expect Hoster to add the Correct DiscID, even if you selected manualy. Hoster analyzes what you manually type in and compares it to the true DiscID of the files in the FILE LIST WINDOW. IF they aren't the same, Hoster says it is an UNKNOWN DiscID and assigns XYZ. |

Good example nReel
NReel: Yes, you are 100% correct, but in a case like mine where the files are listed by Title and artist only as they are in my custom discs, I cannot name my custom discs off of my HD as they get renamed to the "XYZ022" thing. You see, some files on my HD are in a folder titled the same as the disc that was customized for them. It would be extremely quick if I could follow the same instruction you gave me for the customized discs and a whole lot faster because the bin files convert so quickly. Why would they not consider this nReel, any ideas. The way it is now, and as you stated, I would have to rename all the HD files to include disc# and track# and that would further slow down the process.

Let's say you had these files on your hard drive: 10CC - I'm Not In Love Abdul, Paula - Straight Up Adams, Bryan - Everything I Do, I Do It For You Blondie - Heart Of Glass Eurythmics, The - Thorn In My Side Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax Idol, Billy - White Wedding Michael, George - Faith O'Connor, Sinead - Nothing Compares 2 U Seal - Crazy Simple Minds - Alive & Kicking Stansfield, Lisa - Change Waite, John - Missing You Wilde, Kim - Keep Me Hanging On Young, Paul - Senza Una Donna Rename the files so that YOUR DISC NUMBERING is at the beginning followed by a SPACE DASH SPACE to get this (you DO NOT need Trk Numbers as Hoster will assign them. Hopefully, you burned your Disc in the SAME Alpha Order so that Hoster's Trk assignment will be the same as your Disc TRK ORDER. If not, you will need to ASSIGN Trk numbers...what a pain): 370 - 10CC - I'm Not In Love 370 - Abdul, Paula - Straight Up 370 - Adams, Bryan - Everything I Do, I Do It For You 370 - Blondie - Heart Of Glass 370 - Eurythmics, The - Thorn In My Side 370 - Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax 370 - Idol, Billy - White Wedding 370 - Michael, George - Faith 370 - O'Connor, Sinead - Nothing Compares 2 U 370 - Seal - Crazy 370 - Simple Minds - Alive & Kicking 370 - Stansfield, Lisa - Change 370 - Waite, John - Missing You 370 - Wilde, Kim - Keep Me Hanging On 370 - Young, Paul - Senza Una Donna All files for a particular disc can be renamed in an instant with a good file utility program...such as...Total Commander...Shareware Located at: http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm which is a FULLY functioning program with NO time limitation. There is nag screen where you have to click a number from 1 to 3, in which, the program tells you which number to select, in order for the program to OPEN completely. In the Import Tracks/Import Hard Drive Files, you would: 01. Click BIN 02. Navigate to the Folder where the BINs are stored 03. Click Select 04. Click on the first Track in the File List Window 05. Define the Field Order by: a. Selecting DiscID in the 1st Box b. SPACE DASH SPACE in the 2nd Box c. Artist in the 3rd Box d. SPACE DASH SPACE in the 4th Box e. Title in the 5th Box and the PERIOD (.) in the 6th Box 06. Click Add Files 07. Select Custom Assembly as the BRAND 08. *Note that the number 370 is automatically entered as the DiscID 09. Enter 370 into the BookID Root Box 10. Click Import Files Done - Nothing like spelling out the whole Manual When the Import Process is done, you will have: 1. DiscIDs of 370-1, 370-2, etc. in your KMA Folder 2. Be able to access Disc 370 via the Brand Button by selecting the Custom Assembly BRAND, DiscId 370, and Trks 1 thru xx. 3. Be able to access individual Trks from Disc 370 via the BookID Box by entering 37001, 37002, etc. Simple Last edited by nreel; January 18th, 2006 at 12:22 PM. |
