Good info

Thanks for the replys!

Gduns; did you use the sharp or go back to TV usage? I currently have a black wooden carrier on wheels that I place out in front of the singer, I wish I had a picture. Toward the singer, is a 13"TV and below it is a Samson powered studio speaker that I use as the singer monitor, this works great to keep the trip hazard down. On the front, I use another 13" tv for the crowd to view, plus it acts as a spare, if the singer TV breaks, I spin the box around and use the other TV.

Mike: If you could share more on your set-up of your LCD I would be greatful.

Djmadmaxx: What is the model number of your Sharp LCD so I can do my homework?

Beavis: I assume your setup stays in one place and I like the folding up idea. I have the same wireless transmitters but I have not used them for the LCD application. And I understand the power supply.

All good input, are there any more ideas out there? Take care

I use an L1730S 17" Flat LCD Monitor /w VESA hole patten 3"X3".
$240.00 w/$30.00 Rebate = $210.00

I searched the Internet for W E E K S and could only find this WEBSITE with what I W A N T E D.

I bought these items from:
http://www.ergoindemand.com
1 48" L x 2" Diameter Pole (Plated) $119.00
1 Mobile Base with casters for 2" pole. Color Black $78.00
1 Single Pole Mount Bracket (2" diameter pole) Color Black $47.00
1 Tilt/Pivot Bracket for monitors w/VESA hole pattern3"x3".Color Black. $49.00
1 100 x 100mm Interface plate $15.00

Total = $308.00 <----may be a little more due to a price increase.

The Mobile Base, mentioned above, is larger and more stable than a typical Karaoke TV stand Base. But, there are NO Lock-Downs on the Wheels/Casters like a Karaoke TV stand has.

Now the hook up.

Because you are using a Laptop, and, you stated that your RCA OUT is not giving you the RESOLUTION on an LCD that you would like, I would suggest getting this, because this adapter is primarily for LAPTOPS:

Matrox DualHead2Go

at this WEBSITE:

http://shopmatrox.com/usa/products/datasheet.asp?ID=788

With this EXTERNAL ADAPTER, you will have VGA to your Singer's LCD Display.

You will, most likely, need a VGA 15" Extension Cable to complete the Hook-up to your Singer's Display.

Now, if you are going to SPLIT the output of the 2nd VGA...ONE, to your Singer's LCD Display and ONE, to other Viewable Displays, such as CLUB TVs, you will need this:

MAXVIEW PC- TO- TV VIDEO CONVERTER

And can view the Specs at this WEBSITE:

http://www.aitech.com/site2/products/maxview.htm

and find a good price at one of the sites listed at this WEBSITE:

http://www.dealtime.com/xPC-Aitech_MaxView

With this you will hook the VGA Pig-Tail, on the MaxView, to the Matrox DualHead2Go Converter’s 2nd VGA OUT and hook your 15' VGA Extension to the MaxView VGA OUT and the other end of the 15' VGA Extension to the Singer's LCD Display VGA IN.

Then, either use the MaxView RCA OUT to the CLUB TV RCA IN, in which, you could use an RCA "Y" to go to "More Than One" CLUB TVs RCA IN. Be sure to set the TV to the correct VIDEO INPUT.

Or, you could Hook and RCA cable between the MaxView RCA OUT to the RF MODULATOR RCA VIDEO IN and go COAX OUT, of the RF MODULATOR, to COAX IN of all CLUB TVs needed. Be sure to set all the CLUB TVs to Channel 3 or 4.

Or you could use the MaxView S-VIDEO OUT to the S-VIDEO IN of a Single TV S-VIDEO IN. Be sure to set the TV to the correct VIDEO INPUT.

Or you could...list goes on and on.

That's it!

Norm

P.S. I use the Matrox P750 TRIPLE-HEAD in BOTH my SHOW Computer and Backup Computer. My Computers are Mid-Tower PCs and, therefore, my P750s are internal AGP Video Cards.

I meant to say 15 FOOT VGA Extension Cable...not 15 INCHES.

Sorry,

Good info!

Thanks for the input everyone. I tried hooking up a seperate LCD from my laptop vga output WHILE I was using the composite output of the laptop and I could not get all 3 screen operational at the same time. I want to method that is going to be most flexiable to connect to wherever I play and want to connect to their TVs or monitors. It seems that VGA connection to the house TV may be confusing to perform. But I will continue to read and research this subject. If anyone else has input, please throw some in. Thanks!
