I just got a good scare
While importing a disk I just happened to look over at the TV and realized it was in B&W. I played with the SVIDEO cable and it flickered a lot so I know it's going bad but none of the flickering was in color so I thought something else must be going on. I connected a Karaoke player to the FM modulator and got good color, I connected my backup pc to the svideo cable and got color. I thought for sure my graphics card was having problems (3 hours before a show) the cables I use at the show were already there and setup so I couldn't switch out the cables. I disconnected both ends of the cable to examine for damage and saw none but when I reconnected it, it started flickering back and forth between B&W and Color...big sigh of relief. Just a bad svideo cable. I hope your problem was as simple. Sam

Boy, I can sure understand the scare. I have tried different cables, checked for damage. It works fine at home, and at others venues; but, not at this one particular bar. There was color before; but, not now. The owner and I spent some time trying to adjust the TV, an RCA big screen. No luck. The only answer I know of is to use coax with an RF modulator; but, he is reluctant to pull the TV out from the wall and make any changes to his satellite connections. Second choice, I could split between the big screen and a smaller tv sitting next to it.
