Bryan:

My current version is 3.12. I have several hard disks connected to my computer but every one of them have at least 60g available. I think that maybe a program that I have (I have several music and video program installed) may be interfering with Hoster. Any ideas about that?

What drive is your Save to folder set to? This must be set to a Hard drive.

Also, are you trying to Import the files using the Import HD Tracks Dialog or the Import CD tracks Dialog?

I am importing to Hoster Default but I had tried others and it is the same. It doesn't matter the way I import (CD or HD) it aborts at the end of the KMA converting process of the first track that I try to import and it de-select the rest of the disk or file.

i dont think there is a default folder. you must manually do this function.

i would try and change the folder you are importing to and create a new one on the computers hard drive, not external. you can always drag and drop your kma's to the correct folder then rebuild your database.

Beavis:

First of all, thanks for your continuos support. I have an external disk with a folder named "Hoster Show". If I don't turn it on, Hoster will put a folder on your C named "Songs", that is what I mean by "Default folder". Again, thanks!!!

In beta testing Hoster 3.300, we have 3 testers who crash when they try to convert a .cdg file on the hard drive to a .kma file. This is only happening when they use the Import Tracks menu, Import hard drive files screen. All 3 can impot from a CDG disc using the Import CD Tracks screen.

So, I ask are you sure you are having problems when using the Import Tracks menu, Import CD tracks screen? If so, we are clueless what the problem is. If it crashes when importing .cdg files already on the hard drive when converting to .kma files, which is exactly what our 3 testers are seeing as you describe, then it is a bug we are actively tracking down.

Please... be VERY specific which Hoster screen you are using. I am taking about the Import Tracks menu, Impor hard drive files screen only.

Exclamation

Here is step by step what I am doing and what is Hoster response

1-In Hoster main screen I select import tracks
2-Select Import CD Tracks
3-It opens Import Disc window
4-Push CD button,
5-Select Brand, Disc ID, Book ID Root and Identify Save to Folder
6-Then I push Add Tracks to Import button
7-Hoster processes the task and lists the songs on the disc
8-I select the tracks that I need to import and Hoster opens a small window called Reading CDG disc...
9-After reading the window says Writing KMA...
10-At there very end of that process I see that the record goes to aborted
11-After that Hoster stops the importing process and keeps the window open. The software keeps working it does not crash, I try to import again but it keeps aborting the process. It does not matter if I am trying to import from CDG or Hard Disk.

The only difference with the Hard Disk Import is that I have to import using Microstudio as a CDG, but again, the response is the same when I try to use Hoster to convert the CDG in the hard disk (ripped using Microstudio) to KMA.

Question

RickyRey,
Just an off the wall question, but have you imported these songs before? If the file is already in the songs database I believe it will not import again. Isn't that right Bryan? And I also believe that would be true if the KMA file already exists as well.
