Well, I remember that MY 1st version of Hoster could Import directly from an AUDIO CD, but, I have no way of testing as I don't want to install a USB LAN and research a MAC ID to get it to work.
There have been a few questions, over the years, about Importing from an AUDIO CD. Too few for me to have shared the info that I discovered early on. You can check out: POST #8 by MINDONSTRIKE, dated as far back as 08/14/2004, which states the same thing as me, at: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?...t=AUDIO+IMPORT But, suffice to say, I have RE-Installed Hoster Versions 3.006, 2.219, 2.215#2, and 2.213#3 and all are able to IMPORT DIRECTLY from the CD. So, I did not need to ask what Hoster Version was being used by Videoman, because I already knew that Hoster would IMPORT an AUDIO CD per my direction listed above. |

All that aside I'm still glad I posted an answer to the question, although I did forget to include that using CDRW's would eliminate unneeded coasters.
Now he has a choice of methods that will work based on whichever he considers to be the easiest. There's no right or wrong in that. It is up to the user. George |

NORM,
I owe you an apology, big time. When I scanned your original post I made the assumption(bad word) that you were basing your post on recent import methods that did not exist prior to 3.108. At first sight it appears that way, but it is not. I was wrong.. ![]() Something about it kept bugging me so I took the time to really see what you had posted, tried it, and do sorely wish you had posted this a long time ago. As much time as I spend "outside the box" I should have realized that you were out there also, on this one. ![]() I wouldn't fool with burning anything either, not with this method available. Now as the sun continues to rise slowly in the heavens, I'll go wipe the egg off my face. ![]() Take care, George |
