first thing i would do is upgrade to 3.108.....its free.

Then i would delete the songs.mdb in the this folder:
c:\programfiles\microtechnologyunlimited \hoster\databases\songs.mdb

make sure the drive letter on your external hard drive stays the same.

Dont delete your kma's !!!!!!!!!!

Dana,

The songs.mdb file can be found at:
C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Databases\songs.mdb.
As Beavis has stated, delete the file "songs.mdb."

The songs.mdb file is created by Hoster each time you run "Build Songs Database..." from the Tools menu. This file contains the header information from each kma (song) file in your library and the path (directory) information so Hoster can find a song and play it.

When you run the "Build Songs Database..." make sure that the drive letter and path displayed at the top of the dialog window matches the drive letter and path where your kma's are located. The wrong drive letter and path information here can cause problems.

One of the problems I have run into is external USB devices, CD rom and hard drives. The computer operating system can give these devices different letter designations depending on the order that they are plugged into your system. One time an external hard drive can get an "G" letter the next time an"H". If you built your songs.mdb file when the drive letter was "G" and the next time you hooked up the hard drive it was an "H", well you can see where a problem can arise.

Drive letters can be changed using Control Panel.

Hope some of this information is helpful.

Gary

Dana,
As stated above Delete the Songs.mdb in the location that they posted to you. Then rebuild the Songs Database as they also stated above. This will fix the problem.

songs mdb

Bryan the reason some people cant find the songs mdb is because
they have there hide file ext on
so the folder does not show mdb
when you look at it in the database folder.

If that "something" is telling you that you've used up your 99 downloads then it sounds like you have a download accellerator installed that's eating up your downloads. First you'll need to identify it and turn it off. Then MTU will have to reset your downloads for you.

If you're on AOL, I've heard they have recently beefed up their download accellerators, and are causing problems. You may have to contact their support if you can't figure out how to turn them off.
