To do this you will have to Extract the .mp3 and .cdg file out of the .zip file into a folder. Then fix them, then you could drag them back into this same .zip file. Then delete the other 2 bad files with the . or ,'s from the .zip file. Most likely this will be a problem further than 3.109, so this will not be fixed. I know the engineer had looked at it before, and he was not able to figure out a fix for this in the time frame given.

Re: BUG in 3.108- Using ZIP file conversion

There is a freeware program out there called batchrename. It will do a search and replace in a file name. There is probably is one that can handle zips also. I would look into a utility like this to save time.

Re: BUG in 3.108- Using ZIP file conversion

Track 8 is the track that gave me problem on my first computer. But everything seems to still be going good on my second computer after the error, just not on my first one. Should I possibly try reinstalling hoster on my first computer?

djbrian,
It is my understanding that there is no "application process" for becoming a beta tester. It is usually done by invitation, based on many factors to which only MTU is privvy.

Re: BUG in 3.108- Using ZIP file conversion

I ran a hoster setup again for a maintainence. The brand window is working great for me now. Conversion for me now is going good except for a bad file here and there.

I have found a couple of problems. Some are giving me This is not a valid mp3g zip file! A file is missing. And sometimes READY goes blank. Plus sometimes hoster might just close out.

We have already found and solve some of the bugs you all are reporting in this Thread. We'll be back on it tomorrow AM. We may get a quick 3.109 upgrade out this week or Monday... no promises, just want to let you know we are ON IT right now.

Bad Zip File Do Not Use Max Compression

I am also getting a bad zip file error message when importing files such as named:
ZML001-01 - Morrison, Van - Brown Eyed Girl

When I highlight the first song in the folder (there are 20 songs in it) all songs show up, they all get imported. When I go to play the songs all of them are listed and have a bookid however when I go to play them I get an error message in the status field.

I have also tried renaming the song to (see below) and still get the same problem.
ZML001-01 - Morrison_Van - Brown Eyed Girl

not getting bad zip file message..this one is different

I have left two threads on here with the exact wording that comes up on my puter...hopefully I will hear from the tech people soon for a fix...not sure why I was sent to this thread when my error messages don't say bad zip file in them...I get the messages wether I am trying to use zip, mp3, or bin, files...

new error message

here is another message I am getting on some discs that I am trying to import...

The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data. (3163). would you like to see help...I choose yes..and the it tells me it can't find the jeter35.hlp.file.Do you want to find it yourself?

Like I would even know where to start looking for this file...lol....
