Upgrade Problem
I downloaded Hoster 3108 and did the upgrade. Now when I try to open I get a message that says "serial number does not match registration information. Please reinstall Hoster and try again". I have done all of the Windows XP updates and have made all the tweaks that the help file suggests. I had to revert to 3.006 in order to use the program. Please advise as to how to fix this problem. Here are my specs:
2600+ AMD XP ASUS A7V8X-X Motherboard 1 Gig DDR400 Ram Soundblaster 24 Bit Sound Card ATI 9200SE Video Card 320 Gig IBM Hitachi Hard Drive Plextor 52x24x52 Premium CDR Thank-you for your help in this matter. |

Re: Upgrade Problem
I have gotten the same message. I rebooted and it worked again. Haven't really had time to work with the upgrade yet but will try to backtract my steps before this error occurred. I do know after importing a zip disc I closed the program and it would not reopen until rebooting.

Re: Upgrade Problem
Did you use the original "Personal Download Link" in your original email when you bought the program? Did you move to a new computer?

Re: Upgrade Problem
The original computer I installed Hoster on crashed some time ago. Since then I have done 3 upgrades with no problems, and I can revert to an older version and it works fine. I read in the upgrade info that Hoster now uses a different form of identifying your computer. This software was purchased with the credit card of a friend, not by me. So the registration is in his name while the computer and windows is registered to me. Would this have something to do with the error I am getting? If MTU is reading the registry before installing, it is my thought that this could be causing my problem. Your help is appreciated.

Re: Upgrade Problem
The only way to get around this is to Remove the software, then reboot the system. Then Reinstall the software. It should then work again.
The problem is that you might have had some bad Keys in the registry, generated from prior versions, and now that all the glitches are worked out in the security it caused this to happen, as they no longer matched, due to the new version correctly reading the information out of the system.

![]() Okay, I uninstalled the program. Now the installation won't work. I get the error that Hoster can be installed on 2 computers and our records show that it is already installed on two computers. When in fact it is no longer installed on any computers. I need this program for my show tonight. Please tell me how to fix this. This is urgent!
