Question Re: Converting bin files

Sorry its taking me so long to reply but i did not recieve an e-mail to say then anyone had replied to my post. Ok i got the bin files from my discs ,i had to try and make copies of mine cause hoster could not read them ,but have found this was down to my plextor drive being faulty. The program i used to rip them was cdrwin.

thanks nath.

Re: Converting bin files

They should work fine from CDRWin. Try some new files by importing them with CDRWin again and see what happens. Make sure that the .bin files that you have are only about 30-50mb and not the size of a CD per file.

Re: Converting bin files

It may be that your new Plextor is not yet supported in the CDR win version you have. What version of cdrwin are you using and what model of Plextor did you buy?

Question Re: Converting bin files

It detects in hoster and says not cd+g compatible so i did what i should have done before buying ,and checked on plextors site and it says it does not. Do you think this could be fixed by a later firmware upgrade by plextor?

thanks nath.

Question Re: Converting bin files

I have owned 6 or 7 Plextor drives and have never found one not to read or write cdg files. What model is it?

Re: Converting bin files

I checked their site. That model seems to be the only model that don't support cdg. I wonder why they would make only one model that don't support it?

Re: Converting bin files

Nathan,
That was Plextor's first DVD-R drive. It was not made by Plextor, yet marketed by Plextor. Here is the Post as to stating it doesn't support CD+G: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=1106
