Re: afraid to update

i honestly don't know how people are having problems with the newest version. any problems being reported are most likely due to the lack of windows updates and old drivers. it works 100% fine for me

Re: afraid to update

you should not use hoster (in a commercial application) on a computer that was laying around the house, unless you reformat the hard drive and start fresh. you will need to install all window updates first.

i have had maybe one problem with this software since i started useing it.

do not install any programs on your hoster computer that you dont need !

Don't understand how the problems experienced by a comparative few out of the entire Hoster client base can be considered as "EVERYONE", but it is just not so.

The majority of those few that do have a problem are generally due to changes they have made in their systems, which cause the pc to be id'd as having exceeded the allowable installations, and problems of that sort, including email changes, not a flaw in the program as your post implies.

If you would take the time to research those problems and the solutions you would have to draw a correct conclusion.

Your post is very misleading to the casual prospect for Hoster, when you start catagorizing those few as "EVERYONE".

Just for the record.

Re: afraid to update

I am one of the very few that has has a problem as you can read about in my latest post. Don't know if 2.219 caused it or not, but I don't have the problem with the previous version, so I am sticking with that one for now.

I use my laptop for nothing but Karaoke, I have made no changes to my system, other than adding direct x 9.0, but I restored to the time before I put that on, and I still can't get 2.219 to work if I am operating as a limited access user.

If I felt I could operate as an adminstrator, instead of a limited user which is for my employee's, then 2.219 seems great. However, I can't get Hoster to add a song to the playlist without shutting down, unless I switch to adminsitrator.

The previous version works fine both ways, so I'll keep using that, and give 3 a try when it comes out.
