Re: Graphics Sweeping too slow

I have noticed the sweep being too slow also. It's not real bad but is somewhat frustrating. I am experiencing it pretty much on all brands consistently. I did a test and imported the same songs into microstudio and played them back with no problems. The sweeping was perfect, but in hoster it is a little slower. And George, the playback offset only has settings to slow down the sweeping not speed it up.

Re: Graphics Sweeping too slow

The manual depicts a screen shot of the offset with a negative value (which would slow down the lyrics) however trying to enter a negative number results in an error dialog box telling you that you can't do that.

I started a thread on this subject a couple months ago but never got any response.

I'd never tried to enter a negative value, but remembered the picture in the manual showing it as an entry...sorry about that.

You might try reducing the audio hardware accelleration settings, if you haven't already. That could have an effect on the sync.

Re: Graphics Sweeping too slow

George,
Thanks for the reminder about the audio hardware acceleration settings. That had slipped my mind, what little is left. It was at full acceleration so I lowered it one click and now the sweeping is in sync. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Re: Graphics Sweeping too slow

You're more than welcome, and thanks for the feedback. Too often we wind up wondering if the problem has been cured or not.

Must drive support nuts not to get feedback...it's important, whether positive or negative.

Thanks again.

George

Re: Graphics Sweeping too slow

just an update on my original post:

I have downloaded directx 9.0c, the most current nividia driver available, and I have made numerous adjustments to the hardware acceleration settings. I'm still experiencing slow graphics.

Prior to the 2.213 upgrade I had no sweep problems at all. No other programs have been installed on this computer since the upgrade. But from the very day that I did the upgrade the complaints from my customers began and they have not subsided.

It appears to me that the sweep is 2 words behind sometimes more. Some songs are not affected but there is no pattern to the brand of disc i.e. Some sound choice are fine and others are not etc. I have found no brand that appears better than the other.

Obviously this is frustrating..I'm sure there is an answer. I'm open to any suggestions.
