Re: audio drop
I understand your frustration, but being someone who's been there and done that, as the rest of the MTU community tells you to go make the appropriate settings on your computer, I can say without reservation that your problem more than likely lies in that, or a conflict with some other program that you have on your computer. If your problem existed on only certain brands, then you'd have one non-typical to what other users had experienced. Mind you, I know I'm being absolutely no help to your situation, but I think this is one best handled by admin. Be patient, and they will help you through this.

Re: audio drop
Bspaint,
Please post in here the information that you sent to Admin by PM, so that I can see what your computer guru told you.

Re: audio drop
computer guru said that display adapters that share memory and have no memory of there own cause computers not to have the resorces needed to perform the required functions. He called them "fake computers". Adding additional ram will not help...USB sound card will not help either. He Told me to buy another laptop. This one is a compaq presario 3000. AMD 2.8MH, 512 ram. 60 gig hd. Its hard for me to believe a low end video card can cause "poor sound quality". I hope this helps someone out there not to make the same mistake I did
