Reinstall the software again

There is no reason why you can't reinstall on the same computer.

Did you change anything? Windows OS version? If so, that may cause it to not install, but even that should work.

Let us know here in the Forum what happens.

EMAIL IS A BAD IDEA to contact us today. Read this post.

One thing to check is make sure all your drivers for the cards on your computer are loaded.

The installation requires you have all the same hardware, and drivers installed. in other words, if you changed out the processor, and the ethernet card, or didnt install drivers for that, it would think it was a 3rd computer you were trying to install to.

Try again

Since MTUSUPPORT didn't have time to contact you, I have deleted one of your Registration Records.

You should now be able to install Hoster again.

BTW: Hoster 2.212 was released yesterday. I'd suggest you download it from your download link, and instll it.

Ummm not quite right

You ordered a CDROM that we then copied Hoster onto. It is ready for our Postwoman to pick up now. Should be to you within 1-2 weeks.

However, the Hoster 2.209 Floppy we sent to you on July 6 will get there sooner.

To help you out since your order was within 30 days, we found your download email and sent it to you again.

PLEASE.... Save this email in a SAFE PLACE so you won't loose it again.

Click the download link to get Hoster 2.212. I think you'll like it.

We put Hoster 2.212 on the new CDROM ready to mail now.

Upgradeing problems with my laptop

Hi ,I got my cd for the upgrade and it worked fine on my pc but when i went to upgrade on my laptop it did not like it. I have changed nothing on the laptop and it still says that it has already been registered on 2 comps and to contact mtu. Why is it i keep getting this same problem over and over again?
Also i would like to see a pause button on hoster if possible.

thanks nath.

P.S. i notice the essential disks seem to be labled wrong.

Question Your problem is very confusing to us

I deleted your registration record for one of your computer on July 9th to allow you to install on it again. However, I now see two entirely different computers are installed on, which both have the identical Network card/port ID, yet they are clearly different computers.

What's going on? Beats me... we're trying to help you here, but something is very funny at your end. We need your help to identify what it is. It may be a bug you have run into... but no other user has this problem, so that is not my first thought.

Run dxdiag on your Laptop and save the results under the title NathanLaptop.log file (see the link for instructions).

Make a post under this thread identifying the computer as your Laptop. At the bottom of your post, click the Manage Attachments button, click the Browse button by the first field and locate your .log file to attach it to your post.

Then, run dxdiag on your Desktop computer, save the results under the title NathanDesktop.log.log file, create a new Post identified as your Desktop and attach its dxdiag .log file to this new post.

We will work on your problem this morning to get you running again.

For the record... you are only supposed to use ONE computer with Hoster, and the other installation is for your backup. Given the "passion" you are posting here and the work we have already done to support you, it appears you are not using your backup computer as a backup, but for running a different show. If so, you need to purchase a second copy of Hoster.

If we find there is a bug in Hoster's security, I apologize in advance and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Having said that, I now also want to know why your backup wouldn't work for your shows?

Re: Re-installing on second computer after formatting

I know, this has nothing to do with installing, but you need to upgrade to direct x 9.0b. you are running an old version. you also might do all the windows updates.

ADMIN<
If this seems to be a problem with the processor speed changing, I have seen this before om my laptop. It will vary between 600-2000 mhz.
