1) 8 bit mode has now been removed completely.

There is now a button on the Play Tab, that allows for Full screen display or Windowed Mode when the Player starts.

2) Yes, limited to about 2-3 systems, so Don't install it on to many systems.

3) Yes, Mute is still there.

4) Yes, but this is only due to the New Plextor 52x CD-R drives and the new Plextor DVD-R burner. The speed increase is in the newly supported drives, not the actual software itself. So it will make no difference on current CD-R drives.
