Won't read Chartbuster CB6314

I'm totally stumped....I want to make a back-up copy of my CDG Chartbuster CB6314, but when I put it in my Plextor 40/12/40A or my Plextor 48/24/48A, it tells me that I have another device hooked up that is not working properly...same message on both computers..hmmmm. It won't read this disc in either computer, however I have no problems with any of my other CDG's.

When I open MicroStudio 2.4 and want to import the tracks, it shows that there are 16 tracks and that track 15 is over 7 minutes long, and track 16 is a few seconds long, where in fact there are only 15 tracks. It will import all the tracks up through 14, then it gets stuck 3/4 the way through track 15.
This particular CDG plays normal in a karaoke player showing the 15 tracks.

Has anyone else had this problem, and found a solution....I've tried 2 different originals of that disc and they both do the same thing.

I sounds like a multi-session disc, which is used as a copy prevention tactic.

I ran into a problem with my Plextor at trying to Import, copy or Custom Assembly on a French (Local Made) cdg I bought.

I had no option at all, it says that the cd was protected!

I than try it with my old Yamaha 3200E and guess what? It work only with the custom assembly and not with the duplicate mode, so I than burned it on a cd.

I wonder why the Plextor couldn't do anything and why the Yamaha was able to? Firmware? Brand?

I have the feeling that one day if we keep doing our Firmware Upgrade we will run into problems... Could they have Copy Protection install in the Firmware with out telling us?

Thanks to the areas that Flipeoke sent me to, I've figured out how to back-up my complete disc. I appreciate the help.
