Windows Does Not See
If windows does not see the drive, then it seems that the solution won't be in reinstalling the Microstudio software.
Do you have another cdrom drive? Try removing it using the system program in control panel (I assume that this exists in XP), then reboot. If it is like my 98, windows will redetect and install your cdrom drives. If it continues not to see your plextor, then maybe the ribbon got loose or some hardware problem like that. Good Luck
