If you are numbering the pictures I think you'll find that the numbers are treated as text so you might find after 10 it then jumps to 100-109 then jump back to 2 then 21 to 29.Depending how many files you have in that folder it might jump to 1000 before it shows a 2.

If you want them to show in a specific order might be best to name them alphabetically.
Example A1 to A9 then B1 to B9, don't go above 9 or you will encounter the same problem.

It's A database issue how it sees numbers as text.
