Duplicates
My desktop says I have 82 Duplicate Book ID's, and my laptop says I have 101. I have always ticked Merge Dupes, but they're always there the next time. How do I eliminate Duplicate Book ID's?
Thanks, Ernie |

Re: Duplicates
I never use the merge myself as it plays havoc with the printed Book ids, I usually try to find the files that are duplicated and correct them manually.
One thing you can check is the list of folders in the build database dialog isn't showing duplicated folders, if it does remove one of them. The Hoster data folder usually contains a text file, "BuildSongErrors.txt" open it with notepad and see which files are listed, this might give you a clue as to which folders to check. Assuming this .txt file does contain a list, are there a number of songs from the same Disc id ? if so note the Book id of some and type that into the Book Id field on the main Hoster screen and see if a different song shows to that listed in the .txt file. If it does then that is probably the file that is causing the problem not the ones in the .txt file. I would delete that file from the database perhaps re import it later with a fresh Disc id.
