Paul
After turning my laptop the other day, it starting installing windows 10?. after that I have been having several problems.
First of all I have windows 7 or did have and hoster 5.06 that I was very happy with. Now since the automatic upgrade to windows 10 every time I open hoster it ask me if I want to RUN or Close?? It also ask about the UAC (it is off). When I try to play a song it takes for ever for it to come up. I am having outer issues with windows 10 also but I won't get into that. Is anyone else having problems with updating from windows 7 to windows 10. Thanks, Paul ![]() |

Re: Paul
Are you saying that your computer "automatically" updated itself to Windows 10?
I have a system with Win10 and Hoster works well, but Win10 came on the laptop and I installed Hoster myself. I have seen in this forum that you need to uninstall Hoster "before" upgrading to Win10 and then reinstalling after it installs. Since you obviously can't do that now, try uninstalling Hoster and reinstalling to see if that helps!

Re: Paul
Yes, Windows 10 updates by it's self.

Re: Paul
I did not know it updates itself!
Although I like Win10, I do not want my Win7 to do that... Good Luck...

Re: Paul
Check this:
Right click on the Hoster shortcut select Run as administrator. Does this stops RUN or Close and UAC questions ? If so you can set Hoster to always run as administrator via C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster and right click the Hoster.exe file choose compatibility tab then tick the bottom box for "Run this program as an administrator" then Apply. The other issues are likely to be graphics and audio drivers need updating.

Re: Paul
As Roy has Stated, the main issues your having are Video Drivers. You need to figure out what video card you have, then get the very latest updates for those, for Windows 10, hoping they have them for your system.
