This problem is the concern of most of my friend whom I recommended to buy hoster. And the reason they buy hoster is they want to have my database so i advised them to get Hoster. I don't get anything referring Hoster to a lot of my friends. And this is what I 've got..Everytime i upgrade, for sure I will browse the forum.. Hope you can have a better system. For sure, for people who upgrade to win 10 will have the same problem I have..Good Luck then...
Sorry for your frustration and troubles. It seems to me that since you are the only one having this continued problem along with your friends that you stated you help them with the upgrade, it has to be something you are doing wrong. MTU and Roy have helped you many times so hang in there, you always end up getting it fixed even if it is only temporary until the next upgrade. If you see fit not to recommend upgrades to your friends that certainly is your choice but instead of the negativity, how about thinking how MTU and Roy always try to get you through your problems. I hope it all works out for you and you figure out what the glitch is. I have seen MTU there for so many people over the years when they have problems. Many other companies don't even care when customers run into problems and offer little to no help. Good luck to you friend and I am sure it will all work out.

Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

Bendrew,
It really does not have much to do with your Email/Registration Code. These just allow you to install the software from the database, then what happens is it fingerprints your computer with about 5 different parts of the system. If any of the 3 parts no longer match correctly then you get this problem. Thus the computer and hardware is the real issue to make it look like a different computer, instead of the original parts it was installed on.

If you are worried about it, and to get around your issues, you could always Remove Hoster before you upgrade your computer, then it would free up your registration code. Once you upgrade your hardware, reinstall Hoster and you would not longer have an issue.

Windows 10 will cause this for EVERYONE, as it makes the computer look like a brand new system, no getting around this.

I hope that this helps you understand what is happening and how to get around it.

Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

This is a very frustrating situation for me as a user everytime there's an upgrade.. And for the people that I recommended this program. FYI, my friends bought this software thru my recommendation provided that I shared them my song database. In fact, most of the time, I install Hoster on their computer and it's a fact that they had bad experience of upgrading so they want me to do it for them. But now that I had bad experience too..
T tried not to be negative but how many times is enough..I only use Hoster for fun and entertament at home and not for hosting business. And evrytime this happen, I have to visit this forum. I don't send complain anymore to Mtu. So, I'll try once more to upgrade this tomorrow and if still nothing happen, I will stop doing it for awhiile.

Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

I upgraded hoster on my 2 computers and i made it thru. Can you reset my Microstudio and Songverter. Those 2 programs is saying the registration is not match..One other question: How do you put Hoster on Brand mode to avoid initializing bookids. This is not a good one for this. Hoster open fast but you have to wait for the initialization to finish to use it and the manual doesn't have the procedure to do it. I realize that this upgrade benefits the hosting people not the simple guys..

Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

To set it to Brand mode just click the Book ID button, it will then change to Brand, to have Hoster open without building to Bookid list it must be in brand mode when you close Hoster.

As to getting the other programs reset I think you need to submit a support ticket.
