Background audio problem after upgrade

Hya hope someone can help

I recently upgraded from 5.10 to 5.20 and have noticed that the background audio skips to another file rather than carrying on with the same audio file after playing a karaoke track.

please let me explain:-

I have some compilation files that run for 3 hrs approx. this file can be playing fine but hoster skips onto another file in the background audio file window after every karaoke file is played.

this did not happen in the older versions of hoster, I could be paying a compilation and after each karaoke singer or track ended the audio would carry on from the place it last played, it now skips to another file all together

hope someone can enlighten me as to what the problem is and how to rectify it

Thank You

Re: Background audio problem after upgrade

There was a major update to the background audio player going back to 5.09, are you sure you upgraded from 5.10 only I just tried that version and that version is much the same as 5.20.
There is no option to play the way you describe to the best of my knowledge.
You may find it best to put a request in the Hoster new features request forum asking to have it returned.

Hya Roy

Thanks for your prompt reply

I will have another look maybe I have it wrong, I thought background audio still played the same track ie if it was say 3hrs long however I rarely use background audio as I run with two laptops 1 for hoster and a second for music.

the latest version is by far better than the old one I had as searches are far faster and this improved ones performance at gigs

keep up the good work MTU

When you open the Backround Audio, check under settings and see if you have "Random Play" selected. This may cause what you are experiencing if I under stand you right. If it is selected, unselect it and give it a try.

Glad you got it working. By the way it was me, Walt, not Roy who suggested this. It isn't often I can insist in solving a problem. Roy is the guru genius when it comes to Hoster and has solved many problems for me over the years as well as many, many others.

Yes Waltr answered you correct, I thought you meant that it would continue from the same point in a song track that it stopped at meaning that if it stopped half way through a song it would continue from there when it restarted.
Anyway glad to hear you got it sorted.
