I Need Help

I have Windows 7 and a new computer a couple of weeks old. I went to open Songbook, and it opened in Word Pad instead of MS Word. I tried to open Songs.mdb, it opened a blank page. Both of these have opened before. The songbook had browse, so I looked for and couldn't find MS Office in Programs File. I opened the C drive and found I have two Program Files. I have a regular Program File and a Program File (x86). I then looked in the program File (x86) and found MS Office. When I opened MS Office, instead of finding Word, Access etc., it had Clipart, Media, Office 11, Office 14, Stationery and Templates. The Office I am using is 2003. I have a 2007 Office, but I feel more comfortable with 2003. Should I be using 2007 with Windows 7? I have no idea why Office quit working. Now when I go to Start/All Programs/MS Office, all of the Office programs are there and they open???? Does anyone have any idea of what's going on and what I can do?

Thanks,
Ernie

Try this: select your songbook tab, then use the select viewer button and try this path to brows too: C\Program files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 11\WINWORD.exe

Re: I Need Help

Roy,
I uninstalled a program that I had installed on my last computer. I had to uninstall it on my last computer too. Now that I have uninstalled it, Songs.mdb works. I tried to go to Songbook and open the tab, but when I opened MS Office I still get....Clipart, Media, Office11, Office14, Stationery and Templates.
Do you think uninstalling Office and then reinstalling Office 2003, or Office 2007 would help?

Thanks Roy,
Ernie

If you open the Office 11 folder, scroll almost to the bottom of the folder you should see WINWORD.EXE, are you seeing any extensions to file names.

If you still can't find it try this: Press start, in the search box enter WINWORD.exe. if it finds it, right click it and select open file location. then note the path and use that same path when selecting viewer in the songbook. If it finds more than one you will just have to try them one at a time till you get the version you want.

Re: I Need Help

Roy,
There were no extensions or winword. The only place I could find Word is Start, then above find is All Programs. Microsoft Office is there. When you click Office, all the programs open up, and then you can click Word and it opens. I still have no way of getting an address for Word. I downloaded MS Office 2007 and the exact thing is happening. I can still open up Songs.mdb. I'm out of ideas.

Thanks,
Ernie

You've lost me there.
I've made a video to try and help you find winword.exe file, that is the file you have to find.
Look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYOjP...ature=youtu.be

Let us know if that helps.

Re: I Need Help

Roy,
YOU DID IT!!!! I couldn't find what I needed in Office 2003, but found it in 2007. I deleted 2007 and reinstalled 2003 and everything works! I don't know why the software KJPro creates such a conflict. It did it to my last computer. I bought KJPro about two years ago, because each month you could get an update of all the new songs on the market, and what companies had them. This is an off the subject question, but do you know of any place where I could find song updates?? Back on subject.... Thanks Roy, it seems every time I jump into a hole, you pull me out. MTU Forum is really lucky to have you on board.

Thanks again,
Ernie
