Fast sweep
I just upgraded to 4.3 and had to reset the sweep to the max 1.0 to get it almost right (on previous version I had it set at -.3). As there is no more adjustment left, what now? I am using HP Priivilion Lap Top with Windows 7-64bit. I have an ACPI x64-based PC with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 display adapter.

Re: Fast sweep
I'm surprised because with this version most people have set it to "0". are you sure you are not over doing it.

Re: Fast sweep
When you had it set to -.3 had you changed the DirectX settings for Hardware acceleration? If so you may need to change them back and then reset Hoster.

Re: Fast sweep
As far as I know I did not mess with the directx settings. How do I do that?

Re: Fast sweep
DXdiag - type that in the Start Menu/Run and that will open the DirectX Diagnostics.

Re: Fast sweep
I did entered DXdiag and got the dialog box but everything seemed to be ok with no problems noted. How would I reset it? All Accelerations are enabled and I don't see any way to change them

Re: Fast sweep
In DXDiag there should be a tab at the top for each sound card. On those pages is a Hardware Acceleration. Try lowering it from the top (max) acceleration level, down one notch, restart the computer and see if it isn't closer on the sync.
Also with these later versions you need to be using the latest DirectX and Windows Media Player. Make sure you have them updated too.

Re: Fast sweep
Dale, all I have at the top of the box is
System, Display, sound 1, sound 2, sound 3 and input none of these tabs have any way to adjust anything. No way to adjust anything in the DXdiag as far as I can see. I am using Windows 7 64 bit |

Re: Fast sweep
After checking it out, I find that I cannot adjust the accellerator card on this computer, so is there any other way to go

Re: Fast sweep
Is it greyed out?
Have you done all the changes required for Hoster from this link including turning the UAC off? http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster/windows7-changes.htm Only other way I know of to get to the sound card accelleration is the control panel Sounds and Audio Devices. Then on the Audio tab click on advanced under the playback device. Go to Performance tab.
