Re: 10 second delay when I hit play

How much RAM memory do you have on that computer?
Is it a laptop or desktop?

2GB Ram. Desktop, dual Core. I have a Note Book as well that has no problems with Hoster.

How old is the desktop? If you have been using it for a long time and cleaning and defragging hasn't helped you may need to start from scratch and reload it. Microsoft XP is notorious for slowwing down the longer you use it.

Re: 10 second delay when I hit play

The only times that I have seen this is when there are other issues in the computer that are causing this to be so slow.

It should take less than 1 full second, or even 1/2 second for it to open.

Have you run Ad-aware Programs to find out if you have any type of Spam in the system, or virus'es?

I would do this and see what happens. I would download version 4.21 to see if that makes any difference, you can get it from HERE.

Re: 10 second delay when I hit play

i thought i upgraded to 4.21, but when i checked what version i had i yesterday, i found out that i still have the 4.20, but anyway i upgraded yesterday, and everything is fine, the only thing i noticed was, when i double clicked on a song or clicked on the add track, to add on the playlist, and while a song is playing, the marquee, kinda stop rolling for a sec. then it goes back up when the song is added in the playlist.not a big deal, just wondering if it's been like that , and i just didnt notice it, but anyway all is good....no 10 sec. delay, when i clicked on a song to play, it opens right up, plays right away after the credits fades out.

Re: 10 second delay when I hit play

Stefan, try removing and reinstalling Hoster. If that doesn't work,do as MTUSUPPORT recommends. I had to do this recently on my Laptop. Things just get farkled over 3-5 years.
