Question This is a STICK-UP...HELP

Hi, and regards to all MTU fans and admin. I have been away for a while and I think I want to update to Hoster 4*** (no I know I do). So I want to hear from you, Please, any advise on my PC (or call it my main PC) for ripping and running Hoster to renaming, printing and whatever else. Is it like in the good old XP days, if your PC will just run and has say a little extra ram, that is about it? Other than a video card with dual-extended screen capability, and external hard drives and say a standalone CD+G player, not to mention the mixer/amp Why do I ask you.....you know, cause you are the best of best. OK, I don't want to be running my old dell diminsion 8400 with a 3.4 (single core of course) 2 gig of ram and find later that I should have bought or built a quadcore with 16 gig of ram...! I will dedicated it to karaoke only.
You got to run an antivirus! are they not bad on a hoster PC???
What about ...... like firewall's???
Also or BTW.... I have never run any mikes or player trough my PC, I used the PC, a 3 drawer RSQ player, and that was it for input. but maybe that has changed with being able to record the singer. That is why I am asking you.... ANY ADVISE ...BIG or SMALL Thank you VERY MUCH jimmy
