s-video vs. vga

well, i've come to another area where my experience so far is inadequate.

one of my customers is about to change over to computerized karaoke with hoster, and the distance between the kj stand and the singer's area is much more substantial than is the case in most venues. i believe the cable run is between 100' and 125', or thereabouts.

i seem to recall reading at some point that s-video is only good up to something like 25', so my recommendation to her so far is to use vga cable and an inexpensive computer monitor. i'd be more than happy to hear about how you folks have dealt with the issue when you've run into it.
