Unhappy Can't remove singer's disc after adding track

To be more specific, after adding a track from a singers disc, it can be removed to add a track from another disc...however, it must be put back into the drive prior to the song starting from the playlist.

According to what I've read here, I shouldn't need the disc in the drive.
Because of past issues (them not playing if the disc wasn't in the drive) I assumed this is how they were supposed to work. I have always left them in the drive until after the singer sang the song and would eject it afterwords to give it to them.

Last night I had more than a few folks using their own discs, so I thought I would try adding the tracks and then moving on to the next disc.

When it came time for the first song from a singers disc to play (without their disc in the drive), Hoster paused for a moment, then went on to the next song in the list...indicating the singers song had "Played".

I re-added it, left the disc in the drive and it played fine. As the night progressed, I found that I could add as many tracks (from different discs) as time allowed before one was next up in the playlist. As long as the right disc was in the drive when it came up in the playlist, all was fine.

Any idea why that would happen? Is there a setting that needs to be set / changed?

It sure would make life a lot easier if it worked as it should.
